Alongside prime contractor Encompass, Proximity delivered monitoring and evaluation activities in Syria in support of USAID's Bureau for Humanitarian Assistance (BHA) portfolio across the country. Proximity worked with BHA's implementing partners to monitor, evaluate, and learn from their ongoing programming. Proximity recruited, trained, and managed the local data collectors as well as provided up-to-date situational awareness briefings, assessments, and research initiatives. Our third-party monitoring helped BHA partners to not only to track their assistance efforts inside Syria, but also better understand the outputs, progress, challenges, successes, and lessons of their programming.
